About the position

The Azure Data Architect, Lead position is focused on transforming organizations through effective data management. The role involves designing data architecture solutions for cloud computing and storage, collaborating with business analysts and technology teams, and developing data warehousing solutions. The architect will leverage extensive technical expertise to optimize cloud resources and ensure that data solutions meet client requirements, ultimately impacting the client's Data and Analytics Product Line.

Responsibilities

  • Design data architecture solutions for cloud computing and storage.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and technology teams to resolve data architecture issues.
  • Develop user stories with business partners and contribute to data warehousing development.
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft SQL, SSIS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle to design databases and build data models.
  • Conduct ETL processes and manage data warehouse applications.
  • Optimize cloud computing resources and ensure solutions are delivered effectively.
  • Problem solve alongside clients and developers to meet requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with cloud-based data architecture and data warehousing.
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical leadership in a Microsoft Azure environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Synapse or Databricks.
  • Experience working in a highly technical, fast-paced Scrum team.
  • Technical leadership experience, including problem solving and optimization in a multi-cloud platform environment.
  • Ability to problem solve in real time and propose solutions rapidly.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Instance (OCI) Golden Gate.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management within Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to work with multiple business partners to develop user stories.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Certified Professional.
