About the position

The Azure Data Architect will be responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of data solutions, ensuring that logical designs translate into physical databases. This role involves addressing data migration issues, establishing data governance practices, and providing technical leadership for projects. The architect will work closely with various stakeholders to define data ownership, usage, security, and quality, while also being accountable for the overall data architecture strategy and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Data Governance meetings to provide guidance and advocate for business success.
• Work directly with Data Analysts, Solution Architects, and Vendors to validate requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation.
• Create logical designs for Databases, Data Warehouses, and Multidimensional Databases, including data flows and models.
• Serve as a consulting resource for Delivery and Support teams.
• Create strategies and recommendations for the company's future data and technology policies.
• Collaborate with team members to build the ideal database and data integration infrastructure.
• Establish Data Architecture Design Patterns and best practices.
• Stay forward-thinking on new technologies and patterns, contributing to technology strategy and roadmaps.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Data Architect.
• Extensive knowledge of data warehouse and BI techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Synapse, and ADF Data Pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Data modeling and Database Design.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and Big Data.
• Understanding of Azure Database Security, including Encryption and Role-based Access control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Tools knowledge for Data Disciplines.
• Background in computer science and database management.
