About the position

The Azure Data Architect role is focused on designing and implementing enterprise-level data solutions using Azure technologies. This position requires extensive experience in data architecture, enterprise data modeling, and leading data initiatives. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders to translate their data needs into functional solutions, ensuring scalability and performance of the data platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an enterprise-level data model.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for various projects.
• Drive the maturity of the Modern Data Platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead technical strategy and complex initiatives in data architecture.
• Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, architects, and developers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics with a strong background in data architecture.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in building enterprise data models and leading data architecture initiatives.
• Extensive experience with Azure DataBricks and building data solutions on the platform.
• Advanced skills in SQL for designing and implementing data pipelines, stored procedures, and views.
• Proficient in Python for data engineering and automation of data processes.
• Expertise in Medallion Architecture and enterprise-level data modeling.
• Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance data architectures.
• Deep understanding of data optimization, security, and data governance principles.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehousing, or other data storage architectures.
• Experience with data governance frameworks and data security protocols.
