About the position

The Azure Data Architect role involves developing comprehensive data solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies, with a strong emphasis on Azure cloud services. The architect will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, propose technology solutions, and support implementation teams in delivering cloud-native enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop data solutions leveraging Microsoft technologies such as SSIS, ADF, SSAS, SQL Server, and Azure SQL/Synapse.
• Design and implement end-to-end cloud-native enterprise data platforms on Azure.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand requirements and create technology proposals.
• Evaluate technology proposals and assist implementation teams in executing solutions.
• Utilize data warehousing and data modeling techniques including Kimball, Inmon, Star, Snowflake, and Constellation.
• Work with source and destination systems connectors to ensure data flow and integration.
• Manage SQL Data Warehouse and/or Azure Synapse environments effectively.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall experience developing data solutions leveraging Microsoft technologies (SSIS and/or ADF, SSAS, SQL Server, Azure SQL/Synapse).
• Azure Databricks experience is a must.
• 2+ years of experience developing end-to-end cloud-native enterprise data platforms on Azure.
• Solid understanding of cloud concepts: Storage, Compute, Network, and Managed Services.
• Very good data warehousing and data modeling skills (Kimball, Inmon, Star, Snowflake, Constellation).
• 4+ years of experience working on SQL Data Warehouse and/or Azure Synapse.
• 4+ years of experience working on SQL, T-SQL, Stored procedures, and Functions.
• 2+ years of experience working on SSIS.
• 1+ years of experience building data lakes leveraging ADLS or Blob storage.
• 1+ years of experience implementing solutions involving Storage and Compute separation.

Nice-to-haves

• Python or C# experience.
• Power BI experience.
• Azure Analysis Services experience.
• Snowflake Cloud Data Platform experience.
