About the position

The Azure Data Bricks Engineer role is focused on modern data engineering and data warehousing, primarily utilizing cloud platforms such as Azure. The position requires extensive experience in SQL, schema design, and dimensional data modeling, along with proficiency in ETL/ELT tools and big data technologies. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data engineering solutions using Azure Data Bricks and other cloud technologies.
• Design and implement data warehousing solutions and dimensional data models.
• Utilize ETL/ELT tools for data integration and transformation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Implement best practices for data management and warehousing methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering and data warehousing.
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
• Proven expertise in SQL, schema design, and dimensional data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools such as ADF, Informatica, and Talend.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies like Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, and Google Big Query.
• Proficient in big data tools such as Databricks and Spark, with programming skills in PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Event Hub, IOT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Service, and Cosmo DB.
• Familiarity with SAP ECC/S/4 and Hana.
• Intermediate knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD deployments.
• Understanding of cloud migration methodologies and processes.
