About the position

The Azure Data Engineer 2 position at TEKsystems involves analyzing, designing, and developing enterprise data and information architecture deliverables. The role focuses on leveraging data as an asset for the enterprise, collaborating with various teams to deliver valuable data solutions. The engineer will be responsible for building scalable cloud-based solutions, particularly in Azure, and will work on creating lakehouses and real-time streaming analytics platforms. This position requires strong technical skills in data engineering, cloud services, and programming, along with the ability to mentor team members and drive digital innovation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop enterprise data and information architecture deliverables.
• Collaborate with 84.51 and other teams to deliver valuable data solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy scalable cloud-based solution architectures.
• Create lakehouses in Azure and build real-time streaming analytics platforms.
• Build data lakes and data warehouses to support operational and business intelligence.
• Work with serverless computing and Azure Functions.
• Utilize Azure services such as Cosmos DB, Azure Data Explorer, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor team members in data principles and practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and streamline code deployment.

Requirements

• Expertise in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure services and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics.
• Familiarity with monitoring/alerting techniques and APM tools.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Azure Certifications in Associate and Expert levels for Data Services.
• Familiarity with building AI/ML solutions.
• Experience with Databricks and CI/CD processes.
