About the position

The Azure Data Engineer will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining the core data foundation on the Azure Platform, which will support North American Analytics solutions. This position involves collaborating with a product team to understand data needs, designing and implementing data solutions, and ensuring data quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business intelligence developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand data needs and create effective data workflows.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and implement data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Azure Synapse, SQL Data Warehouse, and MS SQL Server.
• Create and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Azure Databricks.
• Ensure the quality, integrity, and reliability of data.
• Monitor and optimize data solutions for performance and efficiency.
• Stay updated on the latest Azure data services and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering with Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Server.
• Experience with data processing languages such as SQL, Python, and Scala.
• Experience with agile methodologies on Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Experience with data modeling and database design.
• Experience with cloud computing concepts and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
