About the position

The Azure Data Engineer will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining the core data foundation on the Azure Platform, which will support North American Analytics solutions. This position requires collaboration with product teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, as well as designing, developing, and implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product team to translate business needs into technical specs.
  • Design, develop, and implement data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Azure Databricks.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability.
  • Monitor and optimize data solutions for performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering with Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Server.
  • Experience with data processing languages such as SQL, Python, and Scala.
  • Experience with agile methodologies on Azure DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Experience with cloud computing concepts and technologies.
