About the position

The Azure Data Engineer role at Avanade involves creating advanced analytics solutions using Azure and Databricks technologies. This position is part of the Data Engineering team within the Business Intelligence practice, focusing on delivering enterprise-grade solutions while collaborating with high-profile clients across various sectors. The role emphasizes continuous skill development and staying updated with the latest Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Architecture, design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade analytics solutions based on Azure and Databricks technologies.
• Constantly developing technical skills in the latest Azure and Databricks technologies, achieving and maintaining relevant certifications.
• Working directly with high-profile clients to understand their requirements and present solutions to customer sponsors.

Requirements

• Demonstrable end-to-end experience in Data Engineering, including large-scale projects.
• Experience in working with the latest Azure technologies such as Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen 2), and Cosmos DB.
• Understanding of software engineering tools and concepts, including experience in Python, Scala, or PySpark.
• Confident communicator who can explain technical terms to non-technical audiences and mentor junior colleagues.
• Ability to lead small development teams, track work, manage assignments, and manage capacity.
