About the position

The Azure Data Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Semantic Model in Power BI, enabling users to derive meaningful insights and analytics. The position requires expertise in Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, and SQL, with a strong emphasis on data modeling and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure optimal performance of the data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a scalable and efficient Semantic Model in Power BI.
• Write and optimize DAX queries for calculated columns, measures, and tables.
• Utilize Databricks Lakehouse for managing large volumes of data.
• Implement data processing workflows using Azure Databricks.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Databricks.
• Implement DBT for data transformation and modeling within the data pipeline.
• Create modular and reusable DBT models that align with business requirements.
• Utilize advanced Power BI features for data transformation and analytics.
• Assist in developing interactive dashboards and reports based on the Semantic Model.
• Monitor the performance of the Semantic Model, DAX queries, and data pipelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Power BI, including Semantic Model development and DAX.
• Expertise in SQL Query, Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Databricks, and DBT.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
