About the position

The Azure Data Engineer role at Infosys involves designing and implementing robust cloud solutions, with a focus on collaboration across various teams to drive cloud strategy and optimize infrastructure. The position emphasizes the importance of data quality, integrity, and security while ensuring seamless integration of data pipelines and storage solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Write and optimize Snowflake scripting for data management within the Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Develop and maintain Databricks notebooks and workflows for data processing and analytics.
• Utilize Python scripting for data transformation, automation, and integration tasks.
• Implement and manage data models, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines and storage solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience in writing and optimizing Snowflake scripting.
• Experience in developing and maintaining Databricks notebooks and workflows.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for data transformation and automation.
• Experience in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong functional knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in customer interactions and requirement gathering.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps and quality processes.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Proven ability to work in a global delivery environment with client stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
