Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks to ingest, process, and store data from diverse sources.
• Optimize data workflows for performance and reliability using Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Cosmos DB.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data availability, quality, and usability.
• Implement data security best practices, including RBAC and Azure AD authentication.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Stay ahead of emerging Azure cloud technologies and best practices, proactively recommending improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and transformation.
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing best practices.
• Basic knowledge of data security principles, including RBAC and Azure AD authentication.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to big data and streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Industry experience in Financial Services, Automotive, Energy & Utilities, Tech, FMCG, or Pharma.
