About the position

The Azure Data Engineer role involves working with Azure and Snowflake technologies to implement data solutions. The position requires strong technical skills in data engineering, cloud migrations, and programming, particularly in Python and SQL. The engineer will be responsible for end-to-end implementation of data projects, collaborating with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution
• Information Technology experience
• Azure experience
• Snowflake experience
• Python experience
• Experience in end-to-end implementation using technologies such as Azure and Snowflake
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL and Unix shell scripting

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Banking/Financial domain
• Strong knowledge of Data structures, Data Engineering concepts, Algorithms, Collections, Multi-threading and memory management and concurrency
• Experience in large scale cloud data migrations using Snowflake, Python, Spark, SQL
• Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices
• Good understanding of Agile software development frameworks
• Strong communication and Analytical skills
• Ability to work in teams in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment comprising of Business and Technology teams
