About the position

The Azure Data Solutions Architect will lead data-driven initiatives within the P&C Insurance domain, particularly focusing on Commercial Insurance. This role is crucial for the growth of XDuce, requiring a blend of technical expertise in Azure technologies and a strong background in the insurance industry. The position involves spearheading turnkey IT projects and consulting services, ensuring the effective use of Azure Databricks and Data Lake environments.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead new data-driven initiatives for turnkey IT projects and consulting services in the P&C Insurance domain.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrate new data sources to manage increasing data volume and complexity.
• Create technical specification designs and application interface designs.
• Develop batch processing and integration solutions for structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with BI & analytics teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Engage with senior management of XDuce clients to present solutions and project updates.

Requirements

• 15 years of hands-on experience as a Data/DWH Engineer in both on-prem and cloud (Azure) environments.
• Recent 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Data Solution Architect, specifically in the P&C Insurance domain, with a preference for Commercial Insurance.
• Recent 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Data Lake, including design, development, and deployment using Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Expertise in data modeling and schema design.
• Strong experience in data warehouse and data lake knowledge, particularly with structured and unstructured data processing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management.
