About the position

The Azure Data Solutions Architect will lead data-driven initiatives and turnkey IT projects within the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain, particularly focusing on Commercial Insurance. This director-level role is crucial for the growth of XDuce Corporation, requiring a strong background in data architecture and cloud solutions, specifically using Azure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead new data-driven initiatives in the P&C Insurance domain using Azure Databricks and Data Lake environments.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrate new data sources to support increasing data volume and complexity.
• Create technical specification designs and application interface designs.
• Develop batch processing and integration solutions for structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with BI & analytics teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Engage with senior management of XDuce clients to present solutions and gather requirements.

Requirements

• 15 years of hands-on experience as a Data/DWH Engineer in both on-prem and cloud (Azure) environments.
• Recent 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Data Solution Architect, specifically in the P&C Insurance domain (Commercial Insurance preferred).
• Recent 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Data Lake, including design, development, and deployment using Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Expertise in data modeling and schema design.
• Strong experience in data warehouse and data lake knowledge, including structured and unstructured data processing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Commercial Insurance sector.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence language tools for job description enhancement.
