About the position

The Azure Data Support Engineer role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Azure big data technologies, including Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, Spark, and HD Insight. The position emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and best practices in troubleshooting, with a significant portion of the work dedicated to customer support and technical coaching.

Responsibilities

• Own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues using collaboration and troubleshooting best practices.
• Identify cases that require escalation, either technically or strategically.
• Create and maintain incident management requests to product or engineering groups.
• Contribute to case deflection initiatives, automation, and other digital self-help assets to improve customer and engineer experience.
• Provide ramp activities, knowledge sharing, technical coaching, and mentoring.
• Drive technical collaboration and engagement outside of CSS with Product Engineering teams, Services, Support, and Regions.
• Lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles, which may be workload or specialty specific.

Requirements

• 4+ years of overall experience in enterprise IT and customer support.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, and big data technologies such as Azure Data Bricks and HD Insight.
