About the position

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Warehouse Developer to join our team. The developer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse to support our business intelligence initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions that drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the data warehouse to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective datasets.
• Monitor and fine-tune business intelligence tools to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of data warehouse development experience preferred.
• 5+ years of SQL development and data warehousing experience.
• 3+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions in Azure data services.
• Experience with Azure-based BI solutions such as Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Blob Storages, and Data Lakes.
• Proficiency in data integration and ETL/ELT tools, preferably in an Azure environment.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Programming skills in SQL Server and MS BI (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS).
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, including query optimization, row level security, indexing strategies and Dynamic Data Masking (DDM).
• Experience with Power BI in building self-serve BI solutions, canned reports, and enterprise-level BI solutions.
• Strong DAX skills for creating complex measures and calculated columns.
• Experience in designing slowly changing dimensions.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and prior experience with healthcare data is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI, etc.) are a plus.
