About the position
The Azure Database Support Specialist will provide administration support for SQL databases and Azure Cloud-based solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a problem-solving mindset to effectively manage customer interactions and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). The position is hybrid, requiring three days onsite in Irving, TX, and two days remote, and is offered as an 18-month contract.
Responsibilities
- Provide administration support for SQL databases and Azure Cloud-based solutions.
- Manage all customer communication with professionalism and timeliness while achieving KPI targets.
- Participate in case triage meetings to share knowledge and develop efficient customer solutions.
- Support or maintain complex mission-critical database solutions and RDMS technologies.
- Utilize various data collection tools and methodologies to analyze problems and develop solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-10 overall years of experience in the field.
- Minimum 5+ years experience with SQL DB or any Open Source DB.
- Minimum 5+ years experience with Azure Fundamentals and Azure PAAS (desirable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
