About the position

The Azure DevOps Cloud Engineer will be instrumental in developing and deploying a cutting-edge SaaS platform tailored for museums globally. This role focuses on integrating mixed reality (MR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to enhance museum infrastructure and customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure services to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of the SaaS platform.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process, monitoring and improving them for efficiency and reliability.
  • Use infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • Promote DevOps practices in collaboration with software developers, ensuring code quality and reliability.
  • Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for efficient application deployment.
  • Implement and monitor security measures, compliance policies, and access controls to protect sensitive data and user information.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure and applications, optimizing system performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize infrastructure costs and ensure efficient resource usage.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes, providing training to the development team on best practices.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize disruption to the platform's availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform development and integration of MR/VR and AI technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management, specifically with Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure services.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
