About the position

The Azure DevOps Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Azure infrastructure and DevOps processes within the organization. This role involves designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, administering Azure resources, ensuring security and compliance, and collaborating with development and operations teams to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure efficient and reliable build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and provision Azure resources such as VMs, databases, and storage accounts.
  • Monitor and optimize resource usage and performance.
  • Set up and manage user access and permissions to Azure resources.
  • Regularly audit and prune access to ensure security and compliance.
  • Implement security best practices for Azure resources and DevOps processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripts, Azure Automation, or other tools.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting for Azure resources and DevOps pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to builds, deployments, and resource performance.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to support their needs.
  • Provide guidance and training on best practices for using Azure DevOps and Azure resources.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
