About the position

UST is searching for an Azure DevOps Lead who will act under the guidance of Lead II/Architect, understanding customer requirements and translating them into the design of new DevOps (CI/CD) components. This role is crucial in managing at least one Agile Team and interpreting the DevOps Tool/feature/component design to develop and support the same in accordance with specifications. The Azure DevOps Lead will adapt existing DevOps solutions and create new ones for various contexts, ensuring that the development process is efficient and meets the needs of the users. In this position, the Azure DevOps Lead will be responsible for coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and communicating the stages and status of DevOps development. They will select appropriate technical options for development, which may include reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components. The role also involves optimizing the efficiency, cost, and quality of DevOps processes, tools, and technology development. The Azure DevOps Lead will validate results with user representatives and integrate and commission the overall solution, while also helping engineers troubleshoot complex issues that are not covered by standard operating procedures (SOPs). The position requires knowledge of installation, configuration, build, and deployment processes and tools, as well as familiarity with IaaS cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google. Understanding the application development lifecycle, quality assurance processes, and quality automation tools is essential. The Azure DevOps Lead should also be knowledgeable about multiple tool stacks, containerization, security policies, and Agile methodologies. This role is pivotal in ensuring that UST continues to deliver transformative experiences and human-centered solutions for its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Act under the guidance of Lead II/Architect to understand customer requirements and translate them into design of new DevOps components.
  • Manage at least one Agile Team.
  • Interpret the DevOps Tool/feature/component design to develop and support the same in accordance with specifications.
  • Adapt existing DevOps solutions and create new DevOps solutions for various contexts.
  • Code, debug, test, document, and communicate DevOps development stages/status of development issues.
  • Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguration of existing components.
  • Optimize efficiency, cost, and quality of DevOps processes, tools, and technology development.
  • Validate results with user representatives and integrate and commission the overall solution.
  • Help Engineers troubleshoot novel/complex issues not covered by SOPs.
  • Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and software.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of installation/configuration/build/deploy processes and tools.
