About the position

The Azure DevOps Server Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing the Azure DevOps Server infrastructure within a client's program. This position involves collaborating with engineering teams to streamline development processes and enhance team collaboration through effective use of Microsoft Azure DevOps. The role requires a deep understanding of Azure DevOps Server architecture and strong problem-solving skills to ensure high availability and reliability of development tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Azure DevOps Server infrastructure components including application servers, databases, and build agents.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide technical expertise in optimizing Azure DevOps Server configurations to support efficient CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of Azure DevOps Server.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Automate routine tasks and processes using PowerShell, Azure DevOps pipelines, or other scripting tools.
• Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and system upgrades to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to Azure DevOps Server administration.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on Azure DevOps Server usage, features, and integrations.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain a knowledge base for future reference.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as a system administrator or DevOps engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure DevOps Server
• In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps Server architecture, installation, configuration, and administration
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server, and IIS
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation tasks
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Azure DevOps certification(s) such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
