About the position

The Azure DevSecOps Engineer Principal at SAIC is responsible for designing, deploying, operating, and maintaining secure cloud products and services. This role focuses on developing continuous integration and build infrastructure, automating CI/CD processes, and collaborating with development and security teams to enhance product delivery and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration infrastructure.
  • Provide Source Control Management/Documentation and create/maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build, and deploy scripts.
  • Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
  • Support full automation of CI/testing.
  • Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and developer work.
  • Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
  • Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate and save time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more of experience, or Master's degree and four (4) years or more of experience; will consider additional 4 years experience with a HS diploma in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Candidates must obtain a Public Trust before starting.
  • Strong understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
  • Proven ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under general direction, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions.
  • Experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Track record of contributing to the completion of specific programs and projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or MS Azure.
  • Knowledge of containerization with Docker or Red Hat Podman.
  • Experience with container management using Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Familiarity with security automation tools such as SAST and DAST.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Bicep, Ansible, and/or Terraform.
