About the position

The Windows Systems Administrator position is a critical role within our IT department, responsible for managing and maintaining our Windows-based systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, particularly with Microsoft technologies, and will be expected to ensure the reliability and performance of our IT infrastructure. This role involves working closely with various teams to support cloud applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that enhance our operational efficiency. In this position, you will be tasked with overseeing the administration of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Network Services, including DNS and DHCP. You will also be responsible for managing SharePoint and Teams environments, ensuring that these platforms are optimized for user engagement and productivity. Your expertise in cloud technologies will be essential as you assist with cloud application issues and work on cloud backup and restore processes. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will need to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels, providing updates and insights on system performance and project status. Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as you may need to address urgent issues outside of standard business hours. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Windows-based systems and applications.
  • Oversee Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
  • Administer Network Services including DNS and DHCP.
  • Support and manage SharePoint and Teams environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud application issues.
  • Assist with cloud backup and restore processes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5 years' experience as a Windows Systems Administrator preferred.
  • 3+ years' advanced experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Network Services (e.g., DNS/DHCP) required.
  • 3+ years' experience as a SharePoint or Teams Administrator required.
  • Experience with analysis, troubleshooting, and assisting with cloud application issues required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Cloud and Microsoft IIS Hybrid preferred.
  • Experience with O365 and Teams Administration preferred.
  • Experience in health care preferred.
  • Experience with Cloud Backup and Restore preferred.
  • Ability to engineer, redesign, and administrate applications running on cloud technologies preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
