About the position

The Azure Network Cloud Engineer role focuses on managing and deploying Azure networking solutions. This position requires expertise in Azure-specific networking tasks, including the configuration of virtual networks, security groups, and various Azure services. The engineer will work primarily onsite three days a week in either the Atlanta or Dallas Fort Worth offices, emphasizing hands-on management of Azure networking components.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, KeyVaults, Shared disks, SQL Servers (PaaS), Data encryption, Logic App, Data Factory, Event Hub, Log analytics workspace, Automation accounts, Azure monitor, and Network watcher.
  • Deployment and management of Virtual Networks (VNETs), Subnets, Hub and Spoke model, Network Security Groups, Azure firewall, Private endpoints, Private DNS, and Bastion.
  • Configure and manage EXPRESSROUTE, Virtual Network Gateway, Local Network Gateway, Site to Site VPN, and Point to Site VPN connectivity from On-Prem to Azure.
  • Manage Azure Load balancers, Azure Traffic Manager, and Application Gateway.
  • Automate the deployment of infrastructure using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager templates.
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
  • Develop scripting skills using PowerShell, Shell, and Azure CLI.
  • Manage Backups and Replication (DR) using Azure Recovery Service Vault.
  • Configure auditing, monitoring, and alerting for solutions/services deployed in Azure cloud.
  • Manage Azure AD Domain Services, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), App registrations, Service Principal, and managed domains.
  • Migrate workloads from On-Prem to Azure.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Azure networking, specifically in deploying and managing Virtual Networks (VNETs) and Subnets.
  • Understanding of Azure Network Security Groups, Azure firewalls, and routing.
  • Solid knowledge of IaaS and PaaS in Azure.
  • Experience with Azure Load balancers, Azure Traffic Manager, and Application Gateway.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Shell, and Azure CLI.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager templates.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
  • Basic knowledge of TLS/SSL certificates.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux Operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
  • Experience migrating workloads from On-Prem to Azure.
