Azure Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines on Microsoft Azure.
• Lead the design and implementation of Azure-native data solutions, ensuring best practices in performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Implement data integration strategies using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
• Optimize data storage and processing workflows leveraging Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Cosmos DB.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to ensure data availability, quality, and usability.
• Define and implement data security best practices, including RBAC, Azure AD authentication, and encryption techniques.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Stay ahead of emerging Azure technologies and advocate for innovative solutions to improve data engineering workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to a culture of excellence in Azure data engineering.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure-based solutions.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python for data processing and transformation.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing best practices.
• Proven experience in data security and access management, including RBAC, Azure AD authentication, and encryption techniques.
• Strong understanding of cost optimization and performance tuning in Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
