About the position

The Sr. Azure Data Engineer will lead the development of data-driven solutions using Cyclotron's methodologies for enterprise projects. This role involves designing solution architecture, defining requirements, and leading project delivery teams while collaborating across various departments to serve clients effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft/Azure data services and Databricks technology, contributing to all stages of the data lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of high-value data-driven solutions for enterprise projects.
• Design solution architecture and define requirements for projects.
• Lead the project delivery team and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, service delivery, and project management organizations.
• Contribute to technical pre-sales activities as required.
• Engage directly with client stakeholders, managers, and end users.
• Design and implement Advanced Analytics solutions based on customer needs.
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of data engineering delivery experience.
• 3+ years of Databricks engineering development experience.
• 2+ years of technical team leadership or management experience.
• Current Azure and/or Databricks certifications.
• Proficiency in designing large-scale data warehouse solutions.
• Experience with data pipeline automation and Azure Cloud-based enterprise data architectures.
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts and T-SQL for data access.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with advanced analytics data technologies such as Databricks and Synapse.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Processing Technologies like DataFactory and Databricks.
• Familiarity with coding languages such as Python, C#, and Java for data analysis.
• One of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified - Data Analyst Associate, MCSA - BI Reporting.
