About the position

The Azure Technical Lead will play a crucial role in the Fisher Investments Technology Department by mentoring and guiding a team of cloud engineers in the design, implementation, and management of Azure-based cloud infrastructure. This position focuses on enhancing the firm's technology capabilities to support global growth, ensuring the reliability and performance of cloud services while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Conduct regular team meetings for architecture/design reviews, code reviews, cross team collaboration opportunities, and training sessions
• Aide in designing and managing scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure and automation tooling for routine operation tasks
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Azure resources
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the Azure environment through proactive monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Manage cloud costs and optimize resource usage to achieve cost efficiency
• Work with solution architects and partners to confirm developed solutions align with existing standards, meet security controls and meet cloud computing best practices
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance the Azure cloud environment
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, tools, and best practices, and disseminate this knowledge to the team
• Investigate and monitor current-state cloud usage, solutions in use, risks, gaps, limitations and recommend solutions, optimizations and remediation
• Ensure cloud services and toolsets are deployed with best practices and documentation

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure cross platform technology areas, with implementing and maintaining expertise
• 5+ years of experience building, deploying and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS services
• Experience building an automated cloud infrastructure across Prod and Non-Prod environments
• Scripting and automation of builds, workflows, tasks and other integration aspects
• Linux and Microsoft Windows server administration
• Configuration management, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsets including (eg Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and Chef)
