About the position

The Glass Handling Specialist at Mygrant Glass is responsible for the efficient handling, processing, and organization of automotive glass products within a warehouse environment. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The specialist will operate various material handling equipment and work collaboratively with team members to achieve key performance indicators that directly impact customer service goals.

Responsibilities

  • Select incoming pick tickets using RFID technology to fulfill customer orders accurately.
  • Prepare, pack, scan, and stage products for transfer and customer pick-up and delivery.
  • Receive, process, and store incoming auto glass product shipments quickly and accurately.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or shortages and document findings.
  • Initiate freight claim procedures when necessary.
  • Verify incoming delivery contents against packing lists for accuracy.
  • Prepare receiving reports noting any discrepancies in shipments.
  • Store incoming products in designated locations according to bin numbers or product sequences.
  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
  • Monitor equipment and report safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain required certifications for hazardous materials and forklift operation.
  • Organize inventory and assist in maintaining the branch's appearance.
  • Load delivery vehicles and assist customers with pickups.
  • Process customer returns and warranty paperwork accurately.
  • Perform cycle counting on assigned items to maintain inventory records.

Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with modern warehouse software and basic computer skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious with a focus on accuracy.
  • Exceptional time management skills and punctuality.
  • A coachable mindset open to feedback.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts or overtime as needed.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • CMV DOT Medical Card preferred.
  • Forklift certification required with 2+ years of warehouse or equivalent experience.
