About the position

The Business Development Representative at TID Systems is responsible for driving sales in the smart automation and security markets. This role involves developing relationships with commercial and residential builders, developers, and business owners to provide tailored security and automation solutions. The representative will engage in various prospecting methods to identify sales opportunities and manage the entire sales lifecycle from initial contact to closing deals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales visits within a protected territory.
  • Research and identify sales opportunities through various prospecting methods including cold calling, canvassing, email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking.
  • Execute all phases of the sales lifecycle: identify and qualify opportunities, develop value propositions, present solutions, close sales, and follow up for client satisfaction.
  • Represent TID Systems professionally and build a network of industry relationships.
  • Log and maintain records of all prospect interactions in the CRM.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines accurately.
  • Customer service-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to become an expert in the field over time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of audio/visual technologies and equipment helpful but not required.
