About the position

The B2B Marketing Director at Benzinga is responsible for leading the company's B2B marketing efforts, focusing on generating new prospects, managing sales contacts, and creating effective sales collateral for events. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, particularly in email campaigns, while ensuring alignment between marketing and sales teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B marketing, a strong grasp of sales funnels, and a proven ability to create impactful marketing initiatives that drive engagement and lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive B2B product marketing strategies that drive attendee engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness.
  • Identify and target new prospects through strategic marketing campaigns, including direct outreach, event sponsorships, and email marketing.
  • Design, implement, and optimize targeted email campaigns aimed at driving event registrations, nurturing leads, and generating conversions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless lead handoff, follow-up, and tracking of event leads through the CRM system.
  • Create compelling sales collateral including presentations, brochures, case studies, and landing pages to support event marketing efforts and lead nurturing.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics of virtual, hybrid, and in-person event marketing, ensuring all marketing materials, communications, and execution align with event goals.
  • Develop and manage the B2B marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective execution of campaigns and events while meeting KPIs.
  • Measure and report on the success of marketing campaigns, including lead quality, engagement rates, and ROI, using data-driven insights to continually improve performance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, ensuring a collaborative approach to strategy and execution while fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in creating and executing successful email marketing campaigns (preferably using platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of sales funnels, CRM systems (Salesforce, etc.), and lead tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from campaign performance data.
  • Experience managing event logistics for both virtual and in-person events.
  • Strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset to work across departments.
