About the position

The Business Account Executive is responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. This role focuses on generating new customers for Internet, voice, and video services, as well as implementing a Territory Plan to expand the customer base. The Account Executive will achieve sales and revenue goals through effective prospecting and the sale of bundled services.

Responsibilities

  • Sell primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.
  • Generate sales leads through various prospecting tactics.
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to expand the customer base.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities using Salesforce.com.
  • Support customer experience efforts and place orders through order management software.
  • Collaborate with Account Coordinator for non-automated orders and administrative tasks.
  • Understand and demonstrate knowledge of Spectrum Business coax services and rates.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of outside sales experience.
  • 1 year of B2B sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a high transaction, short closing cycle model preferred.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets preferred.
