About the position

The Bodzy Household in Isle of Palms, SC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Live-out Nanny to provide care for their 11-year-old son who is high functioning autistic and has ADHD. This part-time position offers a structured and nurturing environment, emphasizing open communication and collaboration. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the child's daily activities, schoolwork, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Picking up son from school.
• Preparing basic meals for son according to dietary preferences.
• Assisting with his schoolwork and extracurricular activities, such as guitar practice.
• Engaging with him in activities during free time.
• Managing light household tasks including laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
• Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for him at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with special needs, preferably autism experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with therapists and parents.
• Patient, calm demeanor with a positive attitude.
• Commitment to long-term employment and willingness to follow established routines and plans.
• Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work additional hours as needed.
• Experience in teaching or caregiving roles is preferred.
