About the position
The Nutter Family is seeking a dedicated and nurturing nanny to provide part-time care for their 3-year-old twin daughters with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Glen Burnie, MD. This long-term position requires a reliable individual who can create engaging activities and administer specialized therapy programs while ensuring the children's safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide part-time care for 3-year-old twin girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Administer a specialized autism 'play' and speech/language therapy program for 2-3 hours each day.
- Prepare meals for the children and assist with laundry.
- Transport children to and from ABA therapy sessions and weekly activities.
- Facilitate educational activities such as story time and trips to the library.
- Monitor and attend to the children's daily needs, ensuring their safety and hygiene.
- Create engaging, age-appropriate activities to foster growth and development.
- Maintain cleanliness in areas used by the nanny and children.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional nanny experience.
- Certificate in Behavioral Management for specialized care.
- Extensive experience with infants and toddlers.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Valid driver's license and reliable car.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Clean criminal and driving record.
- Minimum of 2-3 verifiable references or letters of recommendation.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
- Experience with ADHD and developmental challenges.
