Back-End Developer - IV

About the position

The Back-End Developer - IV position is a long-term contract role focused on implementing software development life cycles to ensure high-quality deliverables. The role requires extensive experience in back-end development, particularly with Java and microservices, and involves working in a hybrid model with 2-3 days in the office. The developer will be responsible for designing and building microservices using AWS, developing JPA modules, and ensuring effective deployment and integration of applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement Software Development Life Cycle to achieve high quality.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities using Agile (Scrum) methodologies and JIRA.
• Design and build microservices using AWS.
• Develop JPA modules to interact with Oracle database.
• Create message listeners for queue management.
• Develop unit test cases using JUnit and Mockito.
• Collaborate with middleware team to resolve deployment issues.
• Test RESTful services using POSTMAN and REST Client.
• Manage continuous builds and deployments using Jenkins.
• Deploy war files onto Tomcat server and configure JNDI data source.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Core Java/J2EE and microservices framework.
• Experience with SOAP, REST, and web services.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and other databases (MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, Redis).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with React technologies (2+ years).
• Familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ (4+ years).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes (2+ years).
• Experience with JBPM (2 years).
