About the position

The Back End Java Developer will join a prominent financial client in New York City, working within the Prime Brokerage team. This role focuses on application development and enhancements, requiring strong expertise in multithreading to manage the generation and distribution of millions of reports daily. The position is hands-on and technical, with a significant portion of time dedicated to active development tasks within an Agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve applications within the Prime Brokerage team.
• Utilize multithreading techniques to handle high-volume report generation and distribution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in back end Java programming.
• 5+ years of experience with multithreading in Java.
• Familiarity with PL/SQL.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow within the team.
• Financial industry background, specifically within equities.
