About the position

Due' Cucina Italiana is looking for a Kitchen Shift Lead to join our Capitol Hill and Roosevelt teams! The restaurants are located at 412 Broadway E, and 1201 NE 65th ST in Seattle, WA. This is primarily a back of house shift lead role but may also be responsible for front of house at times. At Due’ Cucina Italiana we love food that is real, fresh and authentic. We serve homemade pasta bowls and other dishes inspired by the best of the Italian tradition. Responsibilities

• Lead the Back of House (BOH) team during a given shift, driving product quality, kitchen timelines, system adherence, and food safety.
• Ensure Kitchen timelines are met and manage the guest experience as it pertains to the Back of House staff and, when necessary, Front of House.
• Monitor food waste, ordering and inventory levels.
• Know and comply consistently with our standard recipes, portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen procedures.
• Resolve any food quality issues that arise.
• Ensure that the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible.
• Ensure that the kitchen itself and all team members meet the necessary guidelines to ensure there are no injuries.
• Be familiar with and able to perform all kitchen positions.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Learn and master the art of making our fresh pasta when covering Front of House.
• Familiarize yourself with our menu and support our customers through their Due experience.
• Communicate effectively with delivery drivers (UberEats, DoorDash, etc) to ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of takeaway items.
• Manage an accurate inventory of menu items on delivery platforms.
• Maintain and enforce our Covid-19 precautionary measures in the dining room.

Requirements

• Possess or be willing to obtain a Food Handler’s card within 7 days of hire.
• Possess or be willing to obtain an Alcohol Server Training Permit if working front of house.
• Ability to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable bending, reaching, and moving quickly.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to speak or understand Spanish a plus.
• Must have 2+ years kitchen management experience in a full service, moderate to high volume restaurant.
• Scheduling flexibility.

• Competitive compensation, based on experience $26.26-$28.26/hour (base wage of $21.76-$23.76/hour plus an additional $4.50/hour in tips (approximated) for a combined wage range of $26.26-$28.26/hour).
