About the position

The Back Office Cashiering - Administrative Assistant II position at the Colorado Department of Revenue involves providing exceptional customer service and administrative support within the DMV Driver Control Section. The role focuses on processing applications and payments, handling cash transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of motor vehicle-related documents. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and customer service skills, contributing to the department's mission of empowering individuals and businesses through quality service and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Process applications and payments for fees.
  • Analyze, certify, and ensure documents comply with Colorado Statutes and policies.
  • Receive and verify payments, recording information into the DRIVES system.
  • Reconcile transactions and payments to the system, delivering funds to the appropriate personnel.
  • Scan and verify documents for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • Two years of relevant experience in General Clerical and/or Call Center work.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service in a call center or online environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry.
  • Ability to review and compare data for accuracy and completeness.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two plus years working in a complex, high volume Call Center.
  • Experience working with sensitive information of a confidential nature.
  • Career progression in a general clerical and/or customer service position.

Benefits

  • $500 bonus at the end of 6 months of employment.
