About the position

The Back Office Medical Assistant - Supervisor position at Las Vegas Neurology Center is a full-time role focused on supporting patient care in a dynamic medical environment, including a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of clinical and administrative skills to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in both inpatient and clinic settings.
  • Perform vital sign assessments and accurately document patient information in electronic health records.
  • Prepare patients for X-Ray procedures, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating communication between departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the back office area, ensuring all medical supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in various medical procedures and provide relevant information to patients.
  • Support the operating room (OR) team during surgical procedures by preparing instruments and assisting as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in patient care or as a medical assistant is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and protocols, particularly in a Level II Trauma Center environment.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and vital signs assessment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is a plus but not required.
