About the position

The Backend Data Engineer at Artemis will play a pivotal role in building analytics and key metrics for blockchain protocols. This position is integral to the company's mission of creating an accessible and transparent financial system powered by blockchain technology. The engineer will collaborate closely with protocols to identify and develop the key performance indicators (KPIs) that matter most to them, contributing to the growth of a fast-evolving startup in the crypto space.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the data engineering and protocol team to build analytics and key metrics for protocols.
• Collaborate with protocols to determine the KPIs that are significant to them.
• Contribute to scaling a fast-growing product offering third-party analytics to protocols.
• Play a critical role in shaping the future of crypto as an asset class.

Requirements

• 2+ years of data engineering or backend software engineering experience.
• Experience with on-chain data (e.g., Dune, Flipside) is a huge plus.
• Based in the broader New York City area.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Django and Next.js frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Dagster, Snowflake, DBT, and Hightouch.
• A passion for shipping products and a growth mindset.
