About the position

The Backend Lead Developer/Go Lang position is designed for an experienced software engineer who will lead backend development efforts using Go Lang. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development projects using Go Lang.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other engineers to integrate user-facing elements.
• Ensure secure coding practices and data protection methods are followed.
• Manage version control using Git and oversee CI/CD processes.
• Utilize infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for deployment.
• Work with various database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Implement payment protocols and ensure compliance with PCI DSS standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years in software engineering, including 4+ years with Go Lang and 1+ years in a leadership role.
• Skilled in Go Lang, JQ, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Deep understanding of PCI DSS and other payment processing standards.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding and data protection methods.
• Expertise with Git for version control.
• Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Concourse.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
