We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA, for a 6+ month project focused on enhancing energy efficiency within software development processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can identify energy-intensive processes and analyze current energy consumption patterns. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve energy efficiency without compromising the quality of our software products. In this position, you will monitor and evaluate the impact of energy efficiency measures, ensuring that our applications are optimized for minimal energy consumption. You will also be tasked with creating an energy efficiency score for every application listed in DevHub, along with the assets tied to those applications. This involves performing detailed analyses to identify applications that consume the most energy and creating universal worklist tasks in DevHub to guide improvements in energy efficiency scores. Documentation is a key aspect of this role, as you will be responsible for documenting energy-efficient coding practices within DevHub. Additionally, you will monitor and evaluate reports on the effectiveness of the measures implemented, providing insights and recommendations for further improvements.
