About the position

As the Backend Engineering Manager for Content Supply at TikTok, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our content e-commerce platform. Responsibilities

• Build and manage the content consuming backend tech team in the US.
• Design the architecture of technical solutions and provide technical support for engineers in the team.
• Align with product and organizational objectives, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver key results.
• Define the long-term technical roadmap for the team.
• Contribute to technical decisions on projects among the product.

Requirements

• 2+ years managing or tech-leading a software engineering team.
• 5+ years of large scale backend system development experience.
• Experience in Internet live-streaming apps and e-commerce is preferred.
• Strong business understanding ability, strong technical learning and transfer ability, strong sense of responsibility, good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in e-commerce platforms and content ecosystems.
• Familiarity with short-form video content and its integration into e-commerce.
