About the position

CGI is seeking a Backend-Heavy, Java Full Stack Developer with AWS expertise to join their team. This role involves working in a fast-paced, agile environment to support one of the largest leaders in the banking sector. The position requires developing high-level designs, implementing application code, and supporting various testing phases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development and AWS, contributing to innovative solutions for CGI's top banking clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level, detailed design for application components.
• Implement application code to meet business and technical requirements.
• Develop and execute unit test cases.
• Support the migration of code through various environments.
• Assist in user testing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT industry experience.
• Senior-level enterprise Java developer.
• 3-4 years of experience with Spring MVC and Hibernate.
• Experience with AngularJS or other front-end web application frameworks.
• Experience creating and consuming SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services.
• Strong working experience with core Java APIs.
• Experience configuring and deploying software on WebLogic and/or JBoss.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in Oracle from a Java development standpoint.
• Ability to write batch or standalone jobs.
• Experience in Unix scripting.
• Experience in DB/SQL.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with AWS is a must.
• AWS Certification required: AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Solutions Architect Professional.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Python would be an added advantage.
