About the position

CGI is seeking a Backend-Heavy, Java Full Stack Developer with AWS expertise to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing high-level designs for application components, implementing business and technical requirements, and supporting user testing in a fast-paced, agile environment. The position is hybrid and can be based in various locations across the U.S., primarily in areas where CGI has offices.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level, detailed design for application components.
• Implement application code to meet business and technical requirements.
• Develop and execute unit test cases.
• Support the migration of code through various environments.
• Assist in user testing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT industry experience.
• Senior-level enterprise Java development experience.
• 3-4 years of experience with Spring MVC and Hibernate.
• Experience with AngularJS or other front-end web application frameworks.
• Experience creating and consuming SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services.
• Strong working experience with core Java APIs.
• Experience configuring and deploying software on WebLogic and/or JBoss.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in Oracle from a Java development standpoint.
• Ability to write batch or standalone jobs.
• Experience in Unix scripting.
• Experience in DB/SQL.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with AWS is a must.
• AWS Certification required: AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Solutions Architect Professional.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Python would be an added advantage.
