About the position

The Backend IT Developer II position at Blackstone Technology Group is a contract role focused on enhancing project management efficiency through the administration and optimization of Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence. Responsibilities

• Drive governance and hygiene standards for the Jira environment.
• Design and implement solutions to improve business process automation.
• Ensure the overall health and availability of all Atlassian systems (Jira, Confluence).
• Support business stakeholders in project management best practices and guidelines.
• Collaborate on technical integrations between Atlassian systems and external cloud and IT systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in administering and managing the Atlassian product suite.
• 5+ years of experience with Jira administration, governance, and best practices for project management.
• Experience integrating Jira with external enterprise systems such as HR and Incident Management.
• Strong hands-on technical skills with the ability to design schema configurations and templates for Jira.
• Familiarity with APIs and designing automation solutions.
• Ability to implement scripting-based automation solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Spark, SQL, Python, Node.js, Golang, or Scala.
• Bachelor's Degree in CIS/MIS, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-based IT systems and integrations.
