We are seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to join our team in either Plano, TX or Chicago, IL. This position is a contract role lasting for at least 6 months and is available on a W2 basis only. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, with a strong focus on backend systems. You will be responsible for supporting existing applications as well as contributing to new initiatives aimed at enhancing our application suite. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust backend services that meet the needs of our users and stakeholders. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in Java and related technologies to build scalable and efficient backend solutions. You will work with Spring for application development, utilize AWS for cloud services, and implement messaging solutions using Kafka. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring application performance and reliability using tools such as Splunk and New Relic. Your contributions will be critical in ensuring the stability and performance of our applications, as well as in driving new features and improvements. As a Backend Java Developer, you will be expected to write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments, ensuring that our applications run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
