Backend Java Full Stack Developer, AWS - Hybrid

About the position

CGI is seeking a Backend Java Full Stack Developer with AWS experience to join their team. This role involves developing application components, writing code to meet business and technical requirements, and supporting user testing in a fast-paced, agile environment. The position offers the flexibility of remote work across the U.S., with a preference for candidates in specific locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level, detailed design for application components.
• Write application code to implement business and technical requirements.
• Develop and execute unit test cases.
• Support the migration of code through various environments.
• Assist in user testing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT industry experience.
• Senior-level enterprise Java development experience.
• 3-4 years of experience with Struts or Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
• Experience with AngularJS or other front-end web application frameworks.
• Experience creating and consuming SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services.
• Strong working experience with core Java APIs.
• Experience configuring and deploying software on WebLogic and/or JBoss.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in Oracle from a Java development standpoint.
• Ability to write batch or standalone jobs.
• Experience in Unix scripting.
• Experience in DB/SQL.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with AWS is a must; AWS Certification is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Python would be an added advantage.
