The Backend Python Developer role at ManpowerGroup involves developing and delivering complex software solutions to meet business goals within a leading Financial Services organization. The position emphasizes the importance of maintainability, integration, and compliance in software development, requiring strong proficiency in Python and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. The developer will also mentor other engineers and contribute to the continuous integration and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver complex software requirements to meet business goals.
• Ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Design solutions with maintainability and ease of integration in mind.
• Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements.
• Participate in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform spikes or proofs of concept to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Code solutions and unit test to deliver requirements per defined acceptance criteria.
• Utilize multiple architectural components in design and development of client requirements.
• Assist team in resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components and application interfaces.
• Maintain automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance.
• Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
• Automate manual release activities.
• Mentor other Software Engineers and coach team on CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python coding skills.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with large complex systems and making architectural improvements.
• Ability to communicate complex systems and ideas to a large audience.
• Experience in development and testing practices common to the industry.
