About the position

The Backend Python Developer position at Randstad US is a contract role based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Python, ensuring strong object-oriented programming practices.
• Collaborate with a global team to deliver enterprise-scale projects.
• Participate in the Agile development life-cycle, contributing to unit and integration testing along with test automation.
• Design and develop distributed message systems and work with RESTful APIs.
• Utilize version control systems effectively, such as git or svn.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Python programming (not just scripting).
• 3-5 years of experience in Object Oriented Programming.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., git, svn).
• Experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration, etc.) and test automation.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory rules and applications related to software development.
• Experience with distributed message system design and development.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Exposure to Front and Middle Office functions and controls.
